Look-Alike Takes Care Of the Pressing
Monday, washday; Tuesday, ironing day? Not anymore. The German electronics giant Siemens has come up with an automatic shirt ironer for the home. The Dressman TJ10000 adjusts to shirts of most fabrics and sizes; hang them wet, and eight minutes later they are dry and wrinkle-free. The Dressman will come to the Unites States next year, but early birds can order it from Europe (and convert it to American wiring). The unit sells in Europe for about $1300, but it is often less on the German version of eBay, www.ebay.de; shipping, of course, is extra. DOUGLAS HEINGARTNER
